The Team
Our team is led by experienced professionals from the super yacht industry.
Chris Atkinson (Acamarine yacht painters) and Stéphane Marcelli (shipyard and project management) control and manage the entire refit and repair process to ensure every project attains the same high quality standards and is completed to schedule.
At the Atlantic Refit Center, we focus on project management in order to deliver the perfect service to our Clients and their crew. We are equally happy to work with your own team members or to manage the entire project with our own network of local, skilled subcontractors; these include marine mechanics and machinery overhaul, hull and structural work, pipe works, electrical and wiring, electronics, industrial cooling, woodwork, sanding, fairing, painting, varnishing and full crew services.
In both cases, a Project Manager is dedicated to each project and is the point of contact with the Owner’s rep and the crew from the start of the quote process until the end of the warranty period.
Either for short time refits or more large refits, our experienced Project Managers works in close relationships with all of the classification societies such as ABS, BV, DNV, GL, LR and RINA together with the Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA).
Project management
Before the works starts, each super yacht refit project is carefully planned in accordance with the work list and its possible amendements.
The work list is discussed in detail with the Owner's Rep or the Captain in order to cope with the general schedule of the yacht and the time frame dedicated to the refit.
Periodic meetings (at least weekly meeting) are organised so all the trades as aware of the work progress and the interaction between each other. The Owner's Rep is regularly informed of the work progress and progress reports are issued after each meeting. These progress reports serves to establish the monthly report and the attached invoice.
